A little birdie in comments tells me there's a new version of Transmission for Tiger that I previously wrote about. This new version is 2.84 and is available at this link new updated link, so try it out. I did and it's much nicer!
The only downfall for me with these QT builds of Transmission is that they don't support groups. I'm sure you know that all the Linux builds, for PowerPC at least, are QT also.
Maybe I can correct this one day myself, when time allows.
This is awesome, I never could get 2.22 working correctly on Leopard.

I honestly never knew about the Groups feature until now. You should've kept me in my blissful ignorance.
DeleteYou have never used 2.2.2 or older for Mac?
DeleteFor me at least (I often seed up to 400 torrents) the groups feature is a near must. I sort by tracker and/or type.
I'm only on one tracker. I don't have these first world problems!
DeleteYes... it certainly is a first world issue.
DeleteOh no! I can't properly sort my 400 torrents on my 60Mb connection! haha
Crashes on my G5 with Leopard. The last Transmission-QT didn't have that problem.
ReplyDeleteThis has cheered me up no end. Thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteLinks dead. Re-up if possible?
ReplyDeleteThanks for alerting me :) The download links have been updated.
DeleteDid you forward the right port on your router? Maybe the new version overwrites your preferences and you have to re-enter which port to use?
ReplyDeleteThis link it's down, can you fix it please?
