The volume control worked fine on Linux, but on OS X I always changed the volume with other controls.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04700474277267739107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-749559194818088720.post-49770822737714134292013-11-13T21:09:59.694-08:002013-11-13T21:09:59.694-08:00Yeah, it's on Tigerbrew and Macports, too. Why use any Mac, PPC or otherwise, if a console-based program is the best you can do when listening to music? Hopefully this is not indicative of a new direction for the blog.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-749559194818088720.post-65981285935218195632013-11-13T14:14:10.431-08:002013-11-13T14:14:10.431-08:00on Linux there is mpg123 and it is AltiVec acceler...on Linux there is mpg123 and it is AltiVec accelerated ;)ppcaddonhttp://linuxpowerpc.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-749559194818088720.post-32554703978217130342013-11-11T02:51:57.526-08:002013-11-11T02:51:57.526-08:00That's excellent !! Either too simple, with too few options for the Applescript made ones ; very good but only PPC for iTunes-command; or too complex for me like ViTunes…
The possibility of using just another player via command-line completely passed over my head :)
Just installed it, works fine. My only problem was with volume control (+ and -) giving me a
"Error: can't change volume: mixer is not open" message whenever i tried. Found solution here.
Open ~/.cmus/autosave , and change "set softvol-false" to "true".

Cheersgalgothttp://galgot.comnoreply@blogger.com
